Policy, investment and activism for systemic transformation: Potential and barriers of Transformative Innovation Policy and Deep Transitions in Global South contexts.
On 11-14 October 2023, the Globelics international conference took place in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, India. The central theme of the 20th Anniversary Globelics International conference is Innovation-driven Knowledge Economies and Transformation in the Global South. This conference intends to bring together scholars across disciplines from over 50 countries to pool together experiences and expertise to reflect on varied
issues involved in the process of transforming developing economies into sustainable, resilient, and inclusive innovation-driven knowledge economies.
Johan participated online as special session proponent in the session entitled: "Policy, investment and activism for systemic transformation: Potential and barriers of Transformative Innovation Policy and Deep Transitions in Global South contexts" chaired by Bipashyee Ghosh. This session seeks to advance the theory and practice of public and private transformative investment in systems of innovation through dedicated knowledge infrastructures, the TIPC and the DTL, with an emphasis on the Global South contexts.
